Aiga Forum does not need to defend itself against claims that it does not stand up against extrajudicial killings.

In the last 16 years we have been showered with one lie after another. Every anti EPRDF radio station, website, organization etc. have been fully engaged in telling lies about false arrests, killings and tortures. The blatant falsehood continues today unabated and more intensified. We at Hagerfiker have been exposing these lies with proof now for over one year.

In the last 16 years countless people who have been “killed” have magically reappeared into Ethiopian Civil Society. People who were supposedly arrested and tortured were shocked to hear about their predicament.

Our dear internet colleague Dagmawi posted this comment on his site recently;

“This type of repression only ensures that the coming fall from power of the TPLF/EPRDF will be an ethnic bloodbath. WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?!? IS THIS NOT DERGISM AT ITS WORST?”

Dagmawi needs to realize that the ethnic blood shed will occur not because Aiga failed to make a comment about an unsubstantiated killing but because of Diaspora CUD led hooligans who work day and night to create ethnic animosity between Ethiopians. Dagmawi knows very well what these elements have been doing in the Diaspora. If he does not we invite him to listen to a sample we posted on Hagerfiker Radio for all to hear.

Ethnic blood shed can only occur if elements of a society fuel that monster. These days the ethnic hatred is openly being expressed via the internet chat rooms, radios, and even churches. These sick individual and institutions will no doubt play a greater role in an ethnic bloodshed than Aiga Forum. Aiga Forum does not spew any ethnic hatred on their site. They encourage tolerance and civil discourse. Aiga forum does not say “Tigre Wede Mekelle”

In short one can not expect Aiga to condemn the government every time a website claims someone was killed by police. First and foremost the killing if it happened will require an investigation to be conducted to determine who is culpable. If the killing was committed by a rogue policeman the policeman needs to be prosecuted. In fact we at Hagerfiker are aware of one Policeman who is currently in jail for a killing of a civilian. This is simply an example that folks are being held accountable for crossing the legal line. What Dagmawi fails to produce is the "ALLEGED" crime was committed by the Government.

An incident or a lack of outrage does not make a recipe for ethnic war. On a daily basis countless incidents take place in Ethiopia without ethnic bloodshed. If anything, what fuels the ethnic war is the unabated daily ethnic hate spewed by Diaspora hooligans. We all know that the Diaspora leaders have instructed their followers not to dine with, talk with or attend even funerals of other ethnic groups in the Ethiopian Community. We all know what kind of hate is being taught to children by the same so called leaders. We all know what is going on in Diaspora.

If Dagmawi wants to point fingers, he ought to rethink his premise before he strikes out at the wrong party!
