Atse Hailu Shawel was coronated yesterday as King of all Paltalkers.

In an amazing display of intrigue and Tenkole the Diaspora Paltalk community yesterday was presented with a well orchestrated coronation of Aste Hailu Shawel. The organizers of the coronation were very well organized and managed to coordinate and bring to Paltalk many members of the now dead CUD leadership. One after another they took turns glorifying the almighty Hailu Shawel basically putting him one notch below the almighty LORD! One such leader stated that without Hailu Shawel CUD could not exist. To which the Paltalk room displayed flowers and appreciation. Aste Hailu now sits on his throne on a frozen pond in Minnesota.

On the flip side, the CUD'ites who support Berhanu Nega and Birikwan Mideksa were handed their heads on the platter by the Hailu Shawel faction. The one thing the coronation managed to do is show that the Hailu Shawel faction owns the core leadership of the now defunct CUD. It also is doing a better job convincing the folks in Ethiopia that the Hailu Shawel factions' dead corpse smells better than the Berhanu faction dead corpse. At the end of the day, it's about whose funeral turns out more supporters.

Paltalk Generals

The current civil war of the formerly CUD factions has now again injected itself amidst our peaceful existence. What we do not understand is what they are fighting about. In order to fight for an organization, that organization has to exist. CUD in its former state is no more. CUD in its former state will never be. Apparently some of these folks have nothing better to do so they create non existing scenarios so that the time they spend in Paltlak will be more entertaining and will help them pass another boring day with a bit more spice than the day before. In other words Paltalk today is the modern version of the Starbuck Political forums of yesteryear. Today instead of gathering at Starbucks to discuss politics, these folks sit at home drinking their own coffee, chewing their own chat and still thinking that their discussions actually make a difference.

If my memory is correct, KIL (Kinijit International Leadership) has been dissolved and the elected leaders of CUD are now free. If so, how does Ato Andargachew consider himself as “a leader” of CUD? The last time I checked, Ato Hailu Shawel is still the elected leader of the party. Unless it is a power hangover from KIL days, Ato Andargachew is not a “leader” of CUD. Moreover, as Ato Andargachew stated on a record he is now a British citizen. Thus, Ethiopia cannot be run by a British citizen. Just for the record! (Ben we agree!)

Monday Morning coffee for some of our favorite diasporans!

We just wanted to share with some of you who will remain nameless some wisdom which may not be something you want to hear. Driven by pure unadulterated hate for the EPRDF, you have been advocating some very anti Ethiopian positions. Among the top two, we can point to your pro Shabia and pro ONLF, Jihadist positions as examples. We know as well as you do, that this position is driven by your desire to attain power by any means possible. What you fail to realize is that if any of the named groups achieve their objectives, you will never see that power you so desire. The only way for you to attain that power is to work within the existing system. Any other approach such as riding on the backs of the aforementioned groups will end you up below their feet if by miracle they achieve their objectives.

Lastly we figured you were better tacticians than you apparently have demonstrated. We are not sure how you have missed the following. The greater the insurgency in Somalia the greater support EPRDF will get from the international community. This means the west and the east. The great powers of the world be it USA, China or Europe want a stable world from which they can conduct their free trade agendas. Everyone knows that the jihadists you support are one of the obstacles to that stability. Therefore, you have unwittingly been supporting EPRDF by cheering the insurgency on. Nonetheless, no matter what happens, EPRDF keeps gaining strength and momentum. EPRDF will thrive in peace because peace breeds prosperity and success. However EPRDF will prosper in the insurgency because the world knows minus the EPRDF and the brave Ethiopian army, the war on terror would not be going so well. Therefore cheer all you want when you hear of some insurgency in Mogadishu. We figured that we should let you know that you are actually cheering for the EPRDF.
